About Us

Lignia began with a moment of overwhelm. When my mother, an 85-year-old professional artist, named me as her art executor, I was instantly faced with the reality of managing a lifetime of her work. I discovered that most of the help available was bureaucratic — binders of forms and legal language meant for artists, but offering very little guidance for families or heirs. I wanted something different: a way to make caring for an artist's life's work simple, creative, and even playful. That spark became Lignia.

Eugenio brings his own perspective to this journey. With a background in marketing, engineering, and startups, he also grew up surrounded by art through his father, a prolific photographer. But like so many families, his father's thousands of digital files are scattered across computers and hard drives — a hidden archive waiting to be organized. Together, we created Lignia to help artists and their families avoid that overwhelm, lighten the legacy load, and ensure that every body of work can be understood, valued, and carried into the future.
